Refund Policy

When subscriptions, AI Credits, and other charges are refundable — and how to request a refund.

Effective date: June 15, 2026

This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for paid plans, AI Credits, and other charges on Mass. It supplements the billing terms in our Terms of Service. Unless required by law or stated otherwise here, payments are non-refundable.

1.Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation stops future renewals and your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.

We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods or for time you did not use the Services, except where required by applicable law.

2.AI Credits and Usage-Based Charges

AI Credits and other usage-based charges pay for compute and third-party model costs that we incur when you generate Output or send messages. Because these resources are consumed when used, Credits and usage charges are non-refundable once consumed, and purchased Credits may expire as stated at purchase.

3.Free Trials and Beta

If a free trial is offered, you will not be charged until the trial ends unless you cancel beforehand. Beta or preview features may be changed or discontinued and are provided without any refund obligation.

4.When We Issue Refunds

We may, at our discretion or where required by law, issue a refund in cases such as:

  • A duplicate charge or a verifiable billing error on our part;
  • A failed charge that did not provide access to the Services;
  • Where a mandatory consumer-protection law gives you a right to a refund.

5.How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact support@mass.new from the email on your account within 30 days of the charge, including the transaction details and the reason for your request. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.

6.Chargebacks

Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank — most issues can be resolved quickly. Filing a chargeback for a legitimate charge may result in suspension of your account, and we reserve the right to contest abusive or fraudulent chargebacks.

7.Statutory Withdrawal Rights

Consumers in the EEA/UK may have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. Where you ask us to begin providing digital services immediately and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once performance begins, that statutory right may no longer apply. Nothing in this policy limits non-waivable consumer rights.
