Copyright & DMCA Policy
How to report copyright or trademark infringement on Mass, how to file a counter-notice, and our repeat-infringer policy.
Effective date: June 15, 2026
Mass Technologies ("Mass") respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. This policy explains how copyright owners can report infringing material hosted on the Mass websites, applications, marketplace, and communities (the "Services"), consistent with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA").
We respond to clear notices of alleged infringement and, in appropriate circumstances, disable or remove the material and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
1.Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent that includes:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorized agent;
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to locate it (such as the URL);
- Your contact information — name, address, telephone number, and email;
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
2.Designated Agent
Send DMCA notices to our designated agent at support@mass.new with the subject line "DMCA Notice". Notices that do not substantially comply with the requirements above may not be actionable.
3.Counter-Notification
If you believe your material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to our designated agent that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature;
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal;
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if outside the U.S., for any district in which Mass may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the complainant.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action.
4.Repeat Infringers
We maintain a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. We may also remove content and suspend accounts at any time for suspected infringement.
5.Trademark Complaints
For trademark concerns — such as another user’s use of your mark in a way likely to cause confusion — contact us at support@mass.new with details of your mark, the allegedly infringing use, and your contact information.
6.Misrepresentation
Under the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. Please do not make false claims.
